I’ve made my living primarily as a full time writer, but also freelanced as a photographer and graphic designer.
<\/span>The reason I’m currently studying graphic design – even though I’ve had experience<\/b> in the field – is to learn all the tools, from the ground up.<\/span> <\/span><\/p>\n

And – as the industry changes, so do the tools. So does the job.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

The elephant in the room – AI<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

In an ever changing industry, and with the introduction of AI, it’s crucial to hold on to the foundation of the
<\/span>craft. <\/span>I’m not principally against AI<\/strong> <\/span>as a tool<\/strong> – <\/span>but<\/strong> <\/span>I prefer the<\/strong> <\/span>traditional process of creating content.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Consider this: If I were to ask someone to paint a picture of a cat, and then give them the brush to paint it, could I still claim it to be my creation? An idea is only an idea until it is fleshed out. <\/span><\/p>\n

<\/strong>Now, I use AI freely, when needed and when a deadline demands it. But i restrict it to simpler tasks – such as removing specks of dust in a picture. <\/span>However, I draw the line at handing over the brush completely. The idea, and the groundwork, should always be mine. <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n
